| Got all caught up on movies! |
This was going to be the year for snowboarding! Finally healthy enough to go after missing last year because of the Colostomy, this year was going to be stellar! Alas, after three runs over the same log, the fourth one proved disastrous when the snow in front of it collapsed and his ankle slammed into the log. He finished going down the mountain and went home. Went to the doctor the next day and had surgery the following week. As you can see by the X-ray, the Talus bone was definitely broken and would require pins, 2 weeks completely immobile, and then 6 weeks in a walking boot! Luckily, Scott was able to take the week off and spend it with him so I could go to Costa Rica. At the end of it all, he did manage to snowboard one day, very carefully!
