It was the coldest August Lake Powell trip I ever remember. It rained/drizzled all day on Saturday so we watched movies and played NERTZ. On Sunday we went for a ride via Dangling Rope then to "church" at Cathedral Canyon. We were bundled up for the first part of the ride in blankets and hoodies to stay warm. Good thing the boat has a heater!!!
Monday was plenty of play time! Jeff and I pulled out the tube - the "Molecule." We looked at each other like "are you serious?" We went ahead and pumped it up and found to everyone's delight that it was SO MUCH FUN! I honestly think we'll get one for next year!
Tuesday we took Brooklyn to the marina and dropped her off and picked up Tessa & Adam, Jesse Bohannan (recently returned missionary from South Africa, Johannesburg) and Tyler (Todd's friend from Milo in Highland).
Wednesday we took Jeff & Jessie to the marina. They had to leave. Sad. Next year they promised to stay for the full week. We missed them. They play a mean game of horsehoes! Literally. Jessie chucked a horseshoe at Todd and nailed him in the back! Ouch! (Of course it wasn't intentional but caused pain for him and laughter for everyone else!!!)
Thursday - more tubing, surfing, skiing, etc.
Friday - off the lake by 9:45 a.m. Are we good, or what!
Can't wait until next year!
