After the LOTOJA, I drove down to St. George to pick Marcene up to make the drive to Colorado. We were supposed to go to see the play Hairspray at Tuachan, but there had been SO MUCH RAIN that it flooded the area very badly and they had to cancel the play. The orchestra pit was even under water! We just went to dinner for Thai food and then went and relaxed, watched some TV and got ready to head out in the morning. It was about a 10 hour drive. We pulled over now and then to see some scenic views. While she was here we went to the Coors Brewery for a tour and then up to Buffalo Bill's grave and then to Boulder for lunch; we went to the Denver Art Museum one day and only saw 2 floors out of 11! We definitely need to go back! We picked Scott up at the airport and went to the Aquarium one day! It was pretty cool! We drove up to the Rocky Mountain National Park, but just a small corner of it, and then up to Estes Park. We were late getting back to the house for a dinner appointment so we only got to glance at it. One day we drove down to Colorado springs and went to see the Broadmoor Hotel and then over to the Garden of the Gods.
Before heading for the airport, we drove over to the Arrowhead Golf Course. There are the coolest rock formations! It's the Roxborough State Park. I guess you can hike around. We just haven't done it yet so we take the easy way out and drive to the golf course and take pictures!!! It was fun having her here and can't wait to have her come back and visit!
