Lake Powell with "Old" Friends

To commemorate our purchase of our combined share on the Champagne Lady 20 years ago, we put together a trip for a few days in June. Twenty years ago the Chais, Ertels, Hallmarks and Earls bought one share on this houseboat. We would make trips down there with all 28 of us…ALL on one houseboat. Good thing the kids were little. We used to line them up across the top to sleep. There were people everywhere!!!  

I've never been to Lake Powell where the wind blew as much as it did on this trip!  We ended up watching a lot of movies, playing games, and eating lots of food! The best part was just being together with friends, that are more like family.

Scott and Tracy working hard to remove the window tint on the boat's windshield. It made it look cool, but it was dangerous because you couldn't really see through it. You would have to sit up all the time to see what's in front of you!

On Sunday we made the trip to Rainbow Bridge and Cathedral Canyon, where we were going to have a spiritual devotional. Because of the wind and a little traffic in the canyon, we decided to leave and get back to the houseboat. Good thing. By the time we got back the wind had started to kick up a bit. David was the only one that had never been there so we had to go. Luckily, the water was great because we left early enough. Stopped at Dangling Rope for ice cream.
