While we lived in Arizona, the Phoenix temple was in the process of negotiations. We were really excited about it because it was less than 5 minutes from our house so we would drive by the location often just to check on the progress. During the negotiations there were always protestors from the locals and local churches with large signs. They were upset about the height of the building, the parking lots, the lights at night. It was interesting that the building was originally only supposed to be about 9,000 square feet or so but by the time they were ready to break ground, it was a larger temple! I'm excited for the open house. Should be in 2014? Not sure.
Got together with my brother Don's family on Sunday, October 27th. It was Leslie and Darrell's anniversary and not too far off from Don and Judy's anniversary. Leslie is expecting in December in this picture and it's a boy!
Went to lunch with friends from our ward there at Cafe Rumba. For being there such a short time, I truly appreciate the friends I made there. They made the move so much easier than it would or could have been.
