Releasing the Doves

On May 17 we participated in the 5K walk/run called "Running with Angels" in honor of our little angel granddaughter, Indira Usha Earl, stillborn on February 6, 2014. Stacy, Chad and Leslie were the only ones that ran it. The rest of us walked! It was at Thanksgiving Point through their gardens and it was beautiful! There were 5 families honored to release the doves who had lost children and Andy and Neena were one of those. It was a moving experience to watch those white doves fly up and away into the sky, as if toward heaven. Like angels.

Andy designed a team t-shirt for our "I Run For You Indi" team. What an emotional day it was. We were so happy to be able to be there for Andy and Neena and share it with them to celebrate the life of our little angel - Indi.

My friend Leslie, came with me from Colorado. When she said she wanted to come, I didn't know that she had a personal interest in it. Her mother had four still births and she was the only child to make it. It meant a lot to her, and to me, to come and share this moment with us.
