New York City - July 2013

Todd went with Scott and I to New York City. After doing some sightseeing, Scott had to go back to work. Todd and I went to see the play "Wicked" and then the 3 of us saw "Jersey Boys" when Scott was done working. We went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Natural History, Grand Central Station, Battery Park, the Intrepid Museum, and lots of other things!!! As Todd and I were riding bikes one day we spied Henry Winkler walking down the street!

At the Museum of Natural History. It was so crowded it
made it hard to see anything and made Scott and Todd
extremely anxious. They don't like crowds. We went to
a movie instead.

We went on a dinner cruise with work people.

On board the Intrepid Air Museum.

Went to some broadway plays.

Went to the 9/11 memorial. It was very sobering and the pools or waterfalls were where the towers stood.  The drop that you see is approximately 30 feet tall. Those little color dots are people. Kind of gives you a perspective of how large they are. The picture below is of the new tower. It blends into the sky and the grounds are so beautiful. There is a tree there called the survivor tree. The only tree to have survived the attack 9/11.

Went up the Empire State Building.

We spent the 4th of July in NYC. Note, that if we ever do it again in our lifetime we'll take a river cruise. We couldn't get close enough to really see the fireworks. We sat on the street and could see the fireworks over the tops of the trees. It was pretty far away. It was still pretty fun.
